A “reCAPTCHA could not load” message comes from Firebase Auth in the browser, not from this site’s removed App Check code. Fix it by enabling reCAPTCHA Enterprise API (billing on) for your Firebase/GCP project, or by turning off email/password reCAPTCHA enforcement via Admin SDK recaptchaConfig.emailPasswordEnforcementState. Local dev: Auth emulator + ?authEmu=1.
